Job summary

A global engineering firm in Portsmouth seeks an experienced RF Engineer to support satellite communication terminal products. The ideal candidate will have strong RF knowledge and experience across various frequency ranges. You will work closely with design and manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle. This role is in-house, requiring 3 days per week on-site, and offers a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of RF principles and specifications.
• Proven experience in validating RF designs and budgets.
• Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and sustainment of satellite communication terminal products.
• Contribute to the product lifecycle from concept to in-service support.
• Produce RF specifications and validate RF designs.

Skills

Strong RF engineering knowledge across RF, Microwave and mmWave frequency ranges

Experience producing RF specifications, defining interfaces, and performance criteria

Ability to generate system diagrams and RF link/budget calculations

Knowledge of EM field theory, RF circuit design, RF materials, RF measurement techniques

Ability to verify design compliance to requirements

Experience working across full product lifecycle

Education

Degree (or equivalent) in a recognised engineering discipline
