Cirrus Selection Limited in Bolton is seeking an RF Design Engineer to design and test RF circuits across 30MHz to 30GHz, using VNAs and spectrum analyzers to verify performance in real environments. The role also involves building and prototyping hardware, iterating designs, and integrating into complex weapons systems, with rugged, EMC/thermal-hardened requirements.

Qualificações

• Hands-on RF circuit design experience.
• Fault-finding at board level and test exposure.
• Ability to move from concept to lab proving.
• Security clearance: British citizenship or dual nationality.

RF Design Engineer

Salary up to £65,000 | Bonus | 14% Pension | Overtime

If you’re the kind of RF engineer who prefers a spectrum analyser in your hand rather than a PowerPoint deck on your screen, this will feel familiar.

You’ll design and test RF circuits from 30MHz to 30GHz. LNAs. High power amplifiers. Filters. Synthesisers. Modulators. Not theory, not academic modelling. Proper component-level design for harsh environments, vibration, EMC, thermal.

You’ll build it. Modify it. Prototype it. Break it. Fix it.

This role sits inside complex weapons systems, so your work does not live on a bench forever. It gets integrated. Proven. Trialled.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has hands-on RF circuit design experience


• Is comfortable fault-finding at board level


• Knows their way around VNAs, spectrum analysers and power meters


• Understands design for manufacture and test


• Can move from concept to lab proving without drama

Due to security clearance requirements, you will hold British citizenship or be a dual national with British citizenship.
