Job summary

Anson McCade is seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support design, development and validation of RF and mixed-signal electronics for demanding defence applications. You will own the RF development lifecycle from schematic design to PCB integration and laboratory verification.

You will work closely with electronics, PCB layout, systems, firmware and test specialists to create reliable, production-ready solutions for high-technology programmes, using VNAs, analysers and RF test equipment

Qualifications

• Experience in RF analogue and mixed-signal electronics.
• Knowledge of transceiver architectures and RF front-ends.
• Ability to design RF schematics and impedance-matching networks.
• Collaboration with PCB layout and test teams.
• Lab verification using RF test equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design RF analogue and mixed-signal electronics for complex systems.
• Develop transceiver and RF front-end architectures using MMIC/SiP/SoC devices.
• Design RF schematics, components and impedance-matching networks.
• Coordinate with PCB layout for signal integrity, grounding and shielding.
• Plan and execute laboratory verification using VNAs, analysers, and RF test gear.

An established defence and electronic engineering organisation delivering complex, high-technology solutions across critical engineering programmes. We are seeking an experienced RF Design Engineer to support the design, development and validation of RF and mixed-signal electronics for demanding defence applications.

The role offers practical ownership across the RF development lifecycle, from component selection and schematic design through to PCB integration, laboratory testing and system-level validation. You will work closely with electronics, PCB layout, systems, firmware and test specialists to develop reliable, production-ready solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop RF analogue and mixed-signal electronics for complex engineering systems.
• Develop transceiver and RF front-end architectures using monolithic RF chipsets, including MMIC, SiP and SoC-style devices.
• Design RF schematics, component selections and impedance-matching networks against defined system requirements.
• Work with PCB layout engineers on signal integrity, grounding, shielding, routing and manufacturability.
• Plan and execute laboratory verification using VNAs, spectrum analysers, RF signal generators, power meters and oscilloscopes.
