Job description

About the role...

Do you want to help drive change? Are you ready to be part of something special?

At Cooper Parry, we're looking for an experienced Reward & Benefits Manager to join our People Team. Working closely with the Head of Compensation & Benefits, the wider People Team, Finance and business leaders, you'll help continue to shape, deliver and continuously evolve our reward strategy and employee value proposition.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with operational delivery. As a hands‑on manager who helps shape the reward strategy whilst also overseeing key reward and benefits processes and programmes, you'll play a key role in ensuring our compensation, reward and benefits programmes remain competitive, commercially effective, compliant and aligned to the needs of a modern, fast‑growing professional services business.

You'll act as a trusted subject matter expert, providing insight, analysis and recommendations that support business growth, enhance the employee experience and help us attract, retain and reward exceptional talent.

We're looking for someone who brings bags of enthusiasm, a passion for people, and the ability to operate at pace within a dynamic culture that is continually evolving.

We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and commercially minded. You'll enjoy solving problems, making sense of data and turning insight into action. You'll be comfortable challenging the status quo and bringing fresh thinking to how reward can support our people and business objectives.

The role includes a whole host of activities but here's a quick overview:

  • Supporting the development and execution of Cooper Parry's reward and benefits strategy.
  • Conducting market benchmarking and salary surveys to ensure our pay and benefits offering remains competitive and market leading.
  • Managing the annual salary review, and pay planning processes, including stakeholder engagement and budgeting support.
  • Developing and maintaining compensation structures, pay ranges, job grading frameworks and reward policies.
  • Analysing reward data and providing meaningful insights on pay trends, workforce costs, internal equity and reward effectiveness.
  • Producing reports, dashboards and recommendations for People leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Reviewing and evaluating employee benefits programmes to ensure they continue to meet the needs of a growing workforce.
  • Managing relationships with benefit providers, brokers and external reward partners.
  • Leading benefits renewals, enrolment activities and employee communications.
  • Monitoring benefit utilisation and employee feedback to identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Ensure reward and benefits practices remain compliant with employment legislation, equal pay principles and local regulatory requirements. Supporting the development of reward-related governance, policies and processes.
  • Creating clear communications, guidance and education materials for managers and employees on compensation and benefits matters.
  • Maintaining accurate compensation and benefits data within people systems and supporting reward-related audits and reporting.
  • Working on reward transformation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, scalability and employee experience.
  • Acting as a trusted adviser to managers and stakeholders on reward and benefits-related matters.
About you...

At Cooper Parry, we’re in it together. All we ask of our people is that they play all in. You’ll continuously strive to keep learning – whether you’re a trainee or a Partner – and you’ll be brave, stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle new challenges. Above all, be nice. A simple notion, but an irreplaceable part of what makes CP, CP.

As well as the above, you’ll also have;

  • Proven experience in a Reward, Compensation & Benefits or Total Reward or specialist role.
  • Strong knowledge of compensation practices, benefits management and reward frameworks.
  • Experience conducting salary benchmarking and market analysis.
  • Experience managing or supporting annual salary and reward review processes.
  • Strong analytical capability with advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience creating reports, dashboards and reward insights for decision makers.
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation, equal pay principles and reward governance.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

It would also be handy (but not essential) to have:

  • Experience designing or implementing compensation structures, job grading frameworks or reward programmes.
  • Knowledge of global or multi‑country reward practices.
  • Experience with salary survey providers such as Mercer, WTW or Korn Ferry.
  • Experience using Power BI, HRIS platforms or advanced reporting tools.
  • CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above).
  • Experience within professional services or a high-growth business environment.
