The National Probation Service’s West Midlands Public Protection unit is offering a returner scheme for former senior probation officers. The role focuses on keeping the public safe and rehabilitating individuals on probation, with a fast-track reentry for eligible leavers from the last five years.

Applicants should have completed their probationary period before leaving and pass enhanced DBS and NPPV Level 2 vetting.

Qualifications

• Probation Officer qualification or qualified Probation Officer status required.
• PQF Honours Degree/Graduate Diploma and Level 5 Diploma in Probation Practice required.
• Diploma in Probation Studies preferred.
• Diploma in Social Work (Probation option) and CQSW (Probation option) accepted.
