Job summary

The Sheffield United FC Academy is seeking a motivated Academy Physical Performance Coach with Specialism in Return to Play to join the Elite Performance Team. This permanent, full-time role (40 hours per week) is based at the Training Academy with responsibilities for return-to-play planning and delivery across the professional development phases.

Key duties include coordinating with medical and coaching staff, using GPS and other tech to profile players, delivering gym and pitch-based

Qualifications

MSc in Sports Science / Strength and Conditioning required.
CASES Accreditation or working towards it.
UKSCA Accreditation or working towards it.
Experience providing physical performance support to young athletes.
Experience in an elite sporting environment.
DBS enhanced check upon offer.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver return to play processes for Academy players across development phases.
Collaborate with medical and multidisciplinary teams to plan and deliver stages of return to play.
Lead or support gym and pitch-based athletic development sessions and testing.
Provide performance support to the U18 squad on match-days.
Drive CPD participation and pursue external CPD requirements.
