Job summary

Net Zero Careers Accelerator (NZCA) is seeking a Retrofit Foreman / Site Supervisor to oversee domestic retrofit works across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. This permanent, full-time role involves leading on-site teams, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time and to high quality standards in occupied homes.

A company vehicle is provided, and some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Foreman or Site Supervisor is required.
• Construction or building works background is essential.
• Ability to supervise teams and subcontractors.
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience working in occupied homes.
• Experience with grant-funded retrofit schemes is desirable.
• Knowledge of render systems, insulation boards and fixings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise teams delivering domestic retrofit works.
• Coordinate subcontractors and labour on site.
• Manage preparation, installation and finishing activities.
• Oversee EWI, internal/external insulation and associated retrofit works.
• Coordinate site activities including scaffolding and preparation works.
• Monitor progress against programme and specification.
• Carry out quality checks on completed works, particularly EWI systems and finishes.
• Identify and report defects, issues and variations.
• Maintain health and safety standards across site activities.
• Communicate effectively with customers and residents.
• Support productivity while maintaining quality standards.

The Opportunity

A growing business delivering domestic retrofit and energy efficiency works is looking for an experienced Retrofit Foreman / Site Supervisor to oversee works across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.

You will manage day-to-day site activity, coordinating teams and subcontractors to ensure retrofit works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standard, often within occupied homes.

The work includes insulation upgrades, External Wall Insulation (EWI), windows and doors, and other domestic retrofit measures.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar
• Strong construction or building works background
• Ability to supervise teams and subcontractors
• Strong understanding of quality and construction standards
• Good organisational and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working within occupied homes
• Full UK driving licence

Experience on domestic retrofit projects will be considered even where candidates have not worked specifically on the same retrofit scheme.
