A leading housing association in the United Kingdom is seeking a Retirement Housing Officer based in Worcester. This role involves providing tenancy management and support services to residents, ensuring their wellbeing and minimising isolation. Applicants should possess strong interpersonal skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to solve complex issues. The position is part-time, requiring 28 hours a week, and is fixed-term until February 2027. A driving license and Enhanced DBS check are also required.

Do you have a passion for Specialist Housing or Supported Living?We have an opportunity for a Retirement Housing Officer to join our specialist housing team based in Worcester, with occasional travel to nearby schemes and Platform Housing offices when required.
If you have experience working with people in sheltered housing, housing management, residential care, home care, social services, or health services and have worked with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies to secure and coordinate care and support for older people, then we want to hear from you!
This role is working 28 hours per week on rota shift pattern, working four days out of five between Monday and Friday. You will also participate in an out of hours standby rota, a minimum of three times per year, to provide occasional phone based support to our Retirement Living schemes.
This role is on a fixed term contract until February 2027.
As a Retirement Housing Officer, you will be providing a housing and tenancy management service to maximise tenancy sustainment. You'll be a regular and flexible customer contact for the residents, providing practical and preventative support and advice. As well as this, you will signpost to specialist care and support services to maximise wellbeing, social interaction and minimise isolation.
You will provide effective building management, including property inspections, risk assessments, H&S monitoring and compliance checks. Responding, investigating and taking timely action to reported breaches of tenancy/leasehold agreements will be a key part of the role.
