Job summary

Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust's medical retina department offers a 12-month fixed-term clinical fellowship that may be extended. Qualifications

• Completion of Higher Speciality Training or equivalent.
• GMC registration with Licence to Practice.
• Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for CCT in Ophthalmology.

Responsibilities

• Manage common retinal and macular diseases such as wet AMD and diabetic retinopathy.
• Work across common and rarer retinal conditions in a department of five consultants.
• Learn management of hereditary retinal disorders in the genetic clinic.
• Take part in ongoing research projects, including multicentre clinical trials.
