About this role

We're seeking an energetic, customer-focused Retail Team Leader to join our client's expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and confident leader who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and loves motivating others to deliver a 5-star customer experience.

The Role

As a key member of the management team, you will lead shop floor operations, drive sales, and oversee a team of up to 10 staff. You will be the first point of contact for customers, hosting groups, managing busy weekend trade (500+ visitors), and ensuring every shift runs smoothly.

You will also play a pivotal role in training, recruitment, and staff development, ensuring consistent standards across customer service, sales, and operations. Flexibility and adaptability are essential; no two days are the same in this varied and fast‑paced role.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven sales experience and a track record of delivering excellent customer service.
  • Natural confidence when leading teams and engaging large groups.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • IT literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office.
  • Enthusiastic, ambitious, and motivated to exceed targets.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and peak periods (August to March).
  • Direct retail experience isn't essential; what matters most is your leadership, energy, and ability to inspire others.
Pay & Benefits
  • £29,000 base salary + performance‑related bonus + uncapped overtime (potential earnings up to £36,000+).
  • 40 hours per week, shift patterns include: 2 out of 4 weekends 8:30‑6pm (Weekend shifts have the potential to flex), up to 3 evening shifts per week, 2pm‑10pm (1‑2 evenings max if working the same weekend), Weekday shifts: 9am‑5pm.
  • Closed during Christmas, Bank Holidays, Mothers & Fathers Day.
  • 30 days annual leave (inclusive of Bank Holidays).
