Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a confident Retail Security Officer to ensure a safe, welcoming shop floor. You’ll deter theft, protect people and stock, and deliver excellent service while on shift. Flexible hours are discussed at interview to fit around your life and career goals.

The role emphasises professionalism, a calm presence, and collaboration with store teams and local authorities to maintain a secure shopping experience.

• A full 5-year checkable employment or education history (essential for vetting)

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, reassuring presence on the shop floor
• Deliver outstanding customer service at all times
• Deter theft, anti-social behaviour and public order offences
• Carry out regular store patrols
• Operate CCTV systems to reduce crime and stock loss
• Work closely with store management teams
• Support partnerships with Police and local crime networks
• Use Body Worn CCTV to enhance safety for everyone onsite

What You'll Be Doing
