Job summary

Bardwood Support Services Limited is seeking a Retail Security Officer in Kingston for a well-known store. The role covers patrolling, monitoring entry/exit points and handling disturbances with theft-detection devices. It is a 14-hour per week, weekend-inclusive position.

You will contribute to safety for staff and customers and may transfer to the client on a permanent basis after 12 weeks, with benefits such as private medical, pension, and cycle-to-work on transfer.

Qualifications

• SIA license is mandatory.
• 5-year checkable work/career history required.
• Experience in a similar role is advantageous.
• Physically fit and able to work under pressure.

About the role

Title – Retail Security Officer

Pay Rate – £13.45

Location – Kingston

Shift Timings – 14 hours per week, weekends inclusive

You will be working in a well-known retail store, which holds various stock. Officers are responsible for providing safety and security to both staff and visitors alike.

Your main responsibilities may include:

• Patrolling the Retail Store Premises.
• Investigating Disturbances, as well as monitoring the entry and exit points of the retail store.
• Confidently calling for help in emergency situations and operating theft-detecting devices.
• Effectively dealing with large crowds and building positive customer relations.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following:

• SIA License.
• 5-year checkable work/career history.
• Experience in a similar role, would an advantage
• Physically fit to undertake given tasks.
