Main Responsibilities

As a Retail Security Officer you will provide a visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities. The role includes:

  • Patrolling the shop floor and deterring criminal activity
  • Assessing and identifying vulnerabilities, and working proactively to minimise risk
  • Liaising with management and local authorities when applicable
  • Managing vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress
  • Completing colleague and contractor searches in line with customer company policy
  • Digitally reporting incidents and using tablets/phones for daily activity planning
  • Providing detailed and legible incident reporting to assist the client and local authorities

Hours & Shift Pattern

40.5 hours per week. 4 on / 4 off rota Monday – Saturday 09:30‑22:00, Sunday 10:00‑16:00 (rolling rota).

Hourly Rate

£13.54 per hour

Requirements & Experience
  • Must hold a current SIA Guarding or SIA Door Supervisor licence.
  • Previous experience in a Retail Security role is an advantage but not essential.
  • Applicants must provide a full 5‑year checkable work or back‑to‑school history.
  • Bring right‑to‑work documents and recent proof of address to interview.
