Store Protection Officer – Waitrose Cheadle Hulme

Store Protection Officer – Waitrose Cheadle Hulme. Payrate £13.50 per hour with breaks unpaid. Guaranteed number of hours per week, permanent location. Fantastic opportunity to join the evolving Waitrose and Mitie family.

Key Responsibilities
  • Protect the store, people and assets by ensuring compliance with security policies and UK law.
  • Use body‑worn cameras and mobile devices to report all incidents accurately.
  • Collaborate with the National Operations Centre (NOC) and Mitie management to achieve service levels.
  • Maintain a professional appearance, wearing the required front‑line or door supervision SIA licence at all times.
  • Proactively review Assignment Instructions (AIs) to improve service delivery.
  • Respond to health & safety hazards, threats and emergencies, including calling emergency services.
  • Keep accurate incident notes and submit timely call‑outs in accordance with AIs.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous security or protection experience.
  • Current SIA licence (front‑line or door supervision).
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Energy, enthusiasm and professionalism when interacting with customers.
Training & Development
  • Complete all competency training (MAYBO, ASCONE guidance, etc.).
  • Maintain and renew SIA licence 16 weeks before expiry.
  • Engage in continuous self‑development as directed by the Security Account Manager.
