Job description

A full UK driving licence is essential, as the role requires driving a company van between outlets on site. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Outlet Manager to oversee the Marketplace convenience stores (Costcutter) and Micro Market outlets located across the JLR Solihull and JLR LOC sites. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven individual to lead a dynamic retail team within a busy and prestigious automotive environment. You will be responsible for managing a team of retail staff, ensuring all outlets are fully stocked, attractively merchandised, and deliver an exceptional customer experience across all shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations across multiple retail outlets (Costcutter and Micro Markets).
  • Lead, motivate, and support a team of retail staff, ensuring high performance and excellent customer service.
  • Ensure outlets are correctly merchandised, well-presented, and compliant with all brand and company standards.
  • Maintain stock control, cash handling, and operational efficiency across all sites.
  • Drive engagement with staff and visitors, promoting a positive and customer-focused culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety, hygiene, and company policies.
  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a retail or food service environment (essential).
  • Excellent communication and engagement skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with staff, customers, and visitors.
  • Customer and service focused, with a "can-do" attitude.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to use initiative.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Takes pride in personal appearance and hygiene.
  • Full UK driving licence (essential).
  • Experience managing multiple outlets or teams across different locations.
  • Knowledge of convenience retail operations and merchandising.
