Overview

As Retail Operations Manager, you will report to the Head of Retail and be responsible for the smooth and successful running of our retail estate. You’ll lead Cluster managers, drive sales performance, champion excellent customer service, and ensure each store reflects our values and mission. This is a hands‑on, fast‑paced role suited to someone who thrives on variety and meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple charity shops.
  • Lead, motivate, and support cluster managers, staff, and volunteers.
  • Maximise sales and profitability while maintaining the organisation’s charitable ethos.
  • Analyse performance data and implement strategies for growth.
  • Ensure compliance with all retail, financial, and health & safety procedures.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of staff and volunteers.
  • Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and stock presentation.
  • Drive the effective processing of donated goods and stock rotation.
  • Build strong community relationships to enhance donations and footfall.

  • Experience managing multi-site retail operations (charity retail experience is a plus).
