Job description

Job Type: 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Location: UK Field-Based

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role:
  • To act as the key enabler of operational excellence in-store, supporting our Commercial, Trading, Marketing and Merchandising functions with structured planning, efficient execution, and continuous review of all initiatives impacting our retail teams.
  • Operationally deliver the Commercial Transformation plan into retail including all new product and Transformational change, providing clear instructions and implementation support throughout the process. Additionally gathering feedback from the field to drive future decisions on change.
  • The role ensures that every store-facing activity is delivered with clarity, precision, and measurable outcomes, helping drive sales, reduce inefficiencies, and improve the colleague and customer experience.
  • Accountable for efficient, responsive launch of sales-driving tools and initiatives into retail to support in achieving budget, in addition to providing a feedback stream from the field and acting quickly to resolve challenges.
  • Lead governance and implementation of the corporate retail activity plan, balancing static and dynamic workload across the estate.
  • Manage and control the execution of Retail initiatives such as Range Reviews, NPD launches, Macro Space updates, sales driving initiatives and commercial related projects. Working closely with the Retail Activity Plan Manager to ensure all is planned in within Retail capacity.
  • Supporting trials and pilot launches to ascertain business benefits of new proposals, working continually with cross-functional teams to optimise offerings and deliver successful directional changes.
  • Provide actionable strategic insight into store operations on commercial projects.
  • Analyse and report on the effectiveness of initiative execution, using surveys, focus groups and available data to gather insight.
  • Use field data to support risk identification, trend analysis, and decision-making at SLT and Exec level.
  • Ensure that Retail Operational processes are efficient, effective, and as simple as possible, whilst leading and driving a culture of continuous improvement that is relentless in its pursuit of excellence in Retail Operating Standards, enabling store colleagues to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Define, design and implement store-friendly processes and policies to drive task reduction and labour efficiency.
  • Work with Activity and Workforce planning to use time and motion studies to cost activity accurately and inform planning decisions.

  • Experience leading retail-facing projects with significant in-store impacts.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen, able to balance operational needs with business priorities.
  • Expert communication and influencing skills, particularly when working with senior stakeholders.
  • Advanced planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple high-profile initiatives.
  • Analytical thinker with a strong command of data interpretation and decision-making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
  • Experience using data retrieval tools.
  • Ideally, competency in advanced Excel functions.
