Job summary

ASDA is seeking a Cleaning Operative to support store cleanliness in Oldham. The role offers regular, fixed hours and full training, with a temp-to-perm path after 12 weeks for suitable candidates.

You will be responsible for cleaning retail, customer and staff areas to a high standard, performing vacuuming, mopping and sanitising, and following health and safety procedures. English communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of spoken and written English.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning retail, customer, and colleague areas to a high standard.
• Vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitising surfaces.
• Cleaning washroom and welfare facilities.
• Emptying and relining waste bins.
• Carrying out floor care tasks, including buffing and polishing where required.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the store.
• Completing routine inspections and reporting any issues.
• Following health and safety procedures at all times.
