Job summary

Sodexo is hiring a Retail Assistant at Bassetlaw Hospital to support patients, visitors and staff with excellent service. You will handle food preparation, stock control, tills, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced hospital environment.

We value strong communication, time management and organisational skills, with a proactive, collaborative attitude. A Level 2 Food Safety certification is preferred and full training is provided.

• Background in food service within a fast-paced setting.
• Level 2 Food Safety certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Food Preparation & Compliance: Prepare and store food items in line with Hospital and Sodexo standards, ensuring quality and safety.
• Stock Management: Receive deliveries, manage inventory, and implement stock rotation to minimize waste.
• Safety & Hygiene: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to hygiene and uniform guidelines.
• Customer Engagement: Provide outstanding service, promote our brands, and suggest additional products to enhance the customer experience.
• Transaction Handling: Operate tills accurately, manage revenue, and keep precise records.
• Continuous Development: Participate in training sessions and performance reviews to foster personal growth.
