Job summary

Primark Stores Limited is seeking a part-time Retail Assistant in Plymouth. You’ll work varied shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings on weekends) with 6–10 hours weekly, on a fixed-term contract until 12 September 2026. The role focuses on delivering a welcoming customer experience and keeping the store looking its best.

You’ll help customers, maintain shelves, process till queries, and ensure accurate pricing. We offer competitive pay, employee discounts, pension, and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required beyond enthusiasm for fashion and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with an amazing shopping experience and assist with sizes, styles, purchases or returns.
• Keep the shop floor tidy with full shelves and clean fitting rooms.
• Deliver fast, friendly service at till points, handle queries, voids and returns.
• Receive, unpack and price deliveries, ensuring products are on sale floor and correctly displayed.

Pay rate: £13.00 per hour
Employment type: Fixed term contract till 12th September 2026
Job type: Part time only
Contracted hours: 6 - 10 hours per week
Shift pattern: Varied shifts including mornings; afternoons; evenings on weekends only – all will be discussed at interview.
Required Availability: Between 5 AM - 7 PM

What you’ll do

As a Retail Assistant you’ll be making customers’ day, every day. Here’s a taste of what that looks like in action.

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you assist them with things like sizes or styles, purchases or returns.
• Setting up a good looking shop floor with full shelves, tidy fitting rooms, and a sales floor that showcases all the latest fashions.
• Deliver a fast and friendly experience at till points, processing queries, voids and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking, and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products onto the sales floor making sure they are correctly priced – all while making sure everything meets our high standards.
