Retail Assistant – Part Time

Shop in Grantham, Lincolnshire.

Hours & Pay

12 hours across 3 days per week (minimum 12 hours over 3 days each week, including weekends).

Pay depends on age:

• Ages 16‑20: £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+: £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities

• Make customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items they are looking for
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, offering help to pack and leaving a good impression with a friendly thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care while working deliveries, quickly placing products into freezers and onto shelves ready for customers to buy
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean and tidy

Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard‑working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy – jump from deliveries to till, serving customers on the shop floor, cleaning and stock rotation routines and more
• Reliable – an important part of a small team, dependable on each shift and don’t let the team down
• A bit of flexibility with shifts – work slightly different hours to cover for others, rota planned three weeks in advance, commitments outside work considered
