Job description
Retail Assistant – Part Time

We are looking to recruit a new retail assistant for our shop in Albion Retail Park, Blyth. This is a permanent part‑time position working a variety of shifts, with a minimum of 20 hours over 5 days each week, including weekends.

Pay & Benefits

Pay depends on age:

  • Ages 16‑20: £10.10 per hour
  • Ages 21 and over: £12.31 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers with a friendly smile and simple hello.
  • Help customers find the items they are looking for.
  • Deliver fast, friendly service at the tills, packing orders, and saying thank‑you at checkout.
  • Handle stock delivery, placing products into freezers and shelves.
  • Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep the shop safe, clean, and tidy.

  • Reliable and dependable; you will be an important part of a small team.
  • A bit of flexibility with shifts; the rota is planned three weeks in advance and will take into account personal commitments.
