Retail Assistant - Part Time

Location: Altrincham, Greater Manchester

Hours: 20 hours across 5 days per week. Community expectation includes weekends. Permanent part-time position with a minimum of 20 hours over 5 days.

Pay: £10.10 - £12.31 per hour, dependent on age:

• Ages 16-20 = £10.10 per hour
• Ages 21+ = £12.31 per hour

As one of our retail assistants you will:

• Make all of our customers feel welcome with a friendly smile and simple hello
• Help customers find the items that they are looking for
• Provide fast and friendly service at the tills, assist with packing, and leave a positive impression with a thank you and goodbye
• Handle stock with care during deliveries, placing products into freezers and on shelves for customers to buy
• Work with the team to complete daily and weekly routines that keep shops safe, clean and tidy

You will need:

• A friendly, positive, hard-working approach to work
• Enjoy being busy with varied tasks from deliveries to till service, cleaning and stock rotation
• Reliability as you are part of a small team; colleagues and customers depend on you to do your best
• Some flexibility with shifts; rosters are planned three weeks in advance and outside commitments considered
