Role Overview

As a Retail Assistant at Boots Opticians you will be a fundamental part of our store team, serving as the first and last person customers interact with on the shop floor. You will build relationships by listening to customers and recommending the right product or service, from greeting them to pre‑screening eye‑tests and helping them find the perfect eyewear solution. No two days will be the same.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ordering, dispensing and collecting glasses and contact lenses
  • Supporting eye‑tests and pre‑screening activities
  • Providing after‑care support through repairs and adjustments
  • Completing operational and administrative tasks associated with dispensing prescriptions
  • Maintaining shop floor standards
Training & Development

You will develop your knowledge through our industry leading “Step Into Optics” training programme, which includes workshop based learning and practical on‑the‑job experience.

Qualifications & Requirements

What you'll need to have:

  • Passion for customer care
  • Desire to learn

It would be great if you also have:

  • Worked in a retail or clinical environment
