Job summary

Primark Chelmsford is hiring a Retail Assistant on a fixed-term, part-time basis (20 hours per week). The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, stocking shelves, and maintaining an attractive sales floor.

The contract ends on 02 January 2027 with shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. You will work in a fast-paced fashion retail environment, with opportunities to develop in-store skills and access employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the UK.
• Aged 18 or over for late/early shifts as required by law.
• Experience in retail or customer service is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with an amazing shopping experience at sizes, styles, purchases or returns.
• Keep shop floor neat with full shelves and tidy fitting rooms.
• Handle till transactions, queries, voids and returns efficiently.
• Receive, unpack and price new deliveries to display on sales floor.

What you’ll do

As a Retail Assistant you’ll be making customer’s day, every day. Here’s a taste of what that looks like in action.

• Providing customers with an amazing experience as you assist them with things like sizes or styles, purchases or returns.
• Setting up a good looking shop floor with full shelves, tidy fitting rooms, and a sales floors that showcases all the latest fashions.
• Deliver a fast and friendly experience at till points, processing queries, voids and returns.
• Receiving, unpacking, and checking off new deliveries. Getting our products our onto the sales floor making sure they are correctly priced – all while making sure everything meets our high standards.
