About The Peligoni Club

The Peligoni Club is a family‑run members club on the stunning island of Zakynthos, Greece. Our kitchens deliver a varied and exciting food offering across multiple restaurants, each with their own identity :

  • The Terraces – serving Eastern Mediterranean fire‑cooked dishes for lunch and dinner
  • Tasi – open for breakfast and relaxed lunchtime bistro‑style plates overlooking the sea
  • Mikro Nisi – our modern Greek fish taverna, showcasing local ingredients and sharing‑style dishes
  • The Deli Kitchen – an evolving concept offering freshly prepared dishes, baked goods and grab‑and‑go options, with menus and operations that may develop further ahead of the 2026 season

With a busy weekly events schedule, a high guest turnover and four distinct dining concepts, our kitchen team plays a vital role in shaping the Peligoni experience.

About the Role

We’re recruiting four dedicated and experienced Head Chefs to lead our restaurant kitchens for the 2026 season - one for each outlet : The Terraces, Tasi, Mikro Nisi and The Deli Kitchen.

As a Head Chef, you’ll take full responsibility for delivering exceptional food within your kitchen and leading your team with confidence and creativity. You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef to refine menus, maintain high standards and support a consistent, quality‑driven offering across the club.

This role is ideal for chefs who thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy the freedom to bring ideas to life and take pride in mentoring and motivating a diverse team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day‑to‑day kitchen operations for your restaurant.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking and presentation to the highest standards.
  • Guide, train and support a team of Sous Chefs, CDPs and Kitchen Assistants.
  • Work with the Executive Chef to evolve menus, develop specials and adapt dishes to suit the season.
  • Maintain excellent consistency and quality control across all services.
  • Uphold the highest food safety, health and hygiene standards.
  • Manage ordering, inventory and stock rotation to minimise waste and control costs.
  • Monitor food costs while ensuring a high‑quality guest offering.
  • Create efficient rotas, ensuring strong coverage during services and events.
  • Collaborate with Front of House to deliver seamless and memorable guest experiences.
  • Support other outlets when needed to uphold consistency across the club.
About You
  • A proven Head Chef with strong leadership and kitchen management experience.
  • Creative, curious and confident in developing new dishes and adapting menus.
  • Passionate about Mediterranean flavours and seasonal ingredients.
  • Calm, organised and focused in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A strong communicator who leads with positivity and clarity.
  • Detail‑oriented, consistent and committed to quality.
  • Enthusiastic about working closely with a team and supporting their growth.
  • Proactive, solution‑driven and adaptable to the evolving needs of the club.
Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a high‑volume, high‑standard professional kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and food safety standards.
  • Experience managing a diverse kitchen team.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets, food costs and stock effectively.
  • Up‑to‑date Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • EU passport holder.
