About Us

The Bagden Group is a family run business operating two pub restaurants in the Huddersfield and Holmfirth area. We are passionate about community spirit, serving freshly cooked food at reasonable prices in a beautiful, welcoming setting and offering great bar and real ale choices. The menus change seasonally, are French inspired and we use local suppliers and produce whenever possible. Being a SME sized business, we are large enough to be able to make sure our staff are looked after, but small enough so that we are all names, not numbers. We are proud of our team and what we’re achieving together.

About The Role

As Restaurant Manager you will:

  • Lead front-of-house shifts, ensuring smooth, efficient service and a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Support and motivate the floor team — leading by example during busy services.
  • Act as the first point of contact for staff queries and guest feedback.
  • Ensure every guest receives attentive, friendly, and professional service.
  • Resolve minor complaints quickly and effectively to maintain guest satisfaction.
  • Uphold high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and service consistency.
  • Train and support new team members on service standards, menu knowledge, and best practices.
  • Conduct pre-service briefings and communicate clearly with the kitchen and bar teams.
  • Promote teamwork and a positive, professional culture on every shift.
  • Manage bookings on shift, and service flow during busy periods.
  • Take responsibility for opening and closing procedures, including cashing up.
  • Maintain health, safety, and hygiene standards throughout service.
  • Assist the management team with stock checks, rotas, and reporting when needed.
