Overview

Restaurant General Manager - £40,000 to £45,000 per year - Central London

Bonus TBC

We are looking for an experienced Restaurant General Manager from a known high street brand to lead an independently owned restaurant and bar in Central London. You will lead a front of house team of x10 whilst supporting the Head Chef and the BOH team. This is the second opening in Mayfair in a growing business with plans to open other restaurants in time; it is important that you are career driven, highly engaged and eager for new challenges. You will develop with the business, be integral to the successful openings ahead, and in time have the opportunity to develop into a more senior position supporting multi-sites.

The Role

The role is full time and requires your full responsibility and accountability for your team and operation, leading the weekly PnL reporting, business administration including health & safety, training and development, and you will support the Head Chef and BOH operations. The restaurant is open 7 days/week with the kitchen closing at 10pm, so there are no super late nights nor really early mornings. The role is hands-on in service, supporting the team to deliver exceptional service and guest experience.

Your Experience

You would need to be an experienced Restaurant General Manager and be able to discuss your previous experience, longevity in previous roles, and how you have progressed and achieved year on year. Strong hands-on experience in leading the PnL and full business operation, and being accomplished in recruiting and developing your team to deliver a high service standard.

  • Strong leadership experience with the potential to develop your role multi-site.
  • Strong communicator, able to work with your team and senior support to improve and develop.
  • Lead from the front, mentor others and have a natural leadership style to develop your team and service standards.
  • Ability to review and report on weekly performance and challenges, working with the senior team to overcome challenges and drive the business and your team forward.
  • Have an eye for detail, working to a high standard and always looking to improve all areas.
