Response Co‑ordinator (Operations Center Hereford)

Concentric is a risk consultancy specialising in strategic security and intelligence services. We are hiring a Response Co‑ordinator for our Operations Center in Hereford. The role involves monitoring global events, managing incident response, supporting field operations and ensuring safety of personnel and assets worldwide.

Job Description

The Response Coordinator is a critical member of SPS Global’s Security Operations team, working 24/7, coordinating incident reporting and escalation, and serving as the first point of contact for incident response.

Responsibilities
  • Continuously monitor open‑source intelligence, commercial platforms, internal communication channels and travel alerts to identify emerging threats.
  • Assess relevance and credibility of global incidents and escalation in accordance with SOPs.
  • Compile and disseminate timely threat assessments and situational reports to internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Act as central point of contact for reporting and coordinating responses to incidents affecting SPS personnel, clients or operations.
  • Follow established response protocols to manage critical incidents, ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Liaise with security, operations and client teams to coordinate safe travel, emergency support or evacuations.
  • Maintain oversight of employee and contractor travel, track movements and mitigate risks.
  • Support travel bookings and accommodations outside regular business hours.
  • Monitor and manage critical systems including alarm platforms, GPS tracking and communications systems.
  • Serve as first point of contact for incoming calls, client concerns and internal security issues.
  • Maintain coordination with regional security teams, clients and leadership.
  • Provide regular updates and intelligence briefings to leadership, clients and operational teams.
  • Ensure incidents and responses are accurately logged and documented in accordance with SOPs and regulatory standards.
  • Adhere to SPS Global’s operational, ethical and compliance standards at all times.
  • Contribute to improvement of response protocols and maintain knowledge of procedures.
Required Qualifications
  • Prior experience working in a GSOC or similar operations centre or call centre.
  • Full‑time 8‑hour shifts with a rotating schedule: 4 night, 4 morning, 4 late, followed by 4 rest days.
  • Must be legally authorised to work in the UK without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Security Operations Center, emergency response, intelligence analysis, military operations or similar role.
  • Ability to assess and evaluate sensitive or high‑pressure situations, making timely decisions.
  • Research, investigative and synthesising skills across multiple sources.
  • Strong organisational and planning capabilities; able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service mindset and professional, solutions‑oriented approach.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Proficiency in IT preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
