Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Epsom is seeking a qualified Bank Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist for an immediate start. You will support the running of pulmonary rehabilitation classes and assess patients with respiratory diseases. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care. This position is Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00, for 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Must be qualified and available for immediate start.
  • Experience in assessing and treating respiratory conditions.
  • Ability to conduct pulmonary rehabilitation assessments.

Surrey Downs Health & Care are looking for a Bank Band 6 Respiratory Physiotherapist to start immediately Monday to Friday 08:00-16:00 37.5 hours week.

Support with the running of PR classes, assessment of patients with respiratory disease.

To work as a member of Surrey Downs Health & Care to develop and provide team to the community in order to provide a high standard of holistic assessment, treatment, evaluation and advice to patients with lung conditions in the community, including pulmonary rehabilitation assessments and classes.













Surrey Downs Health and Care is an innovative partnership between the local GP federations (GP Health Partners in the Epsom, Leatherhead and Ewell area, Dorking Healthcare for Dorking practices and Surrey Medical Network for practices in the East Elmbridge area), CSH Surrey and Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Toprovideeffective,efficientandhighqualityphysiotherapytreatmentprogrammesfor respiratory patients in the community setting andwithin the pulmonary rehabilitation service. To lead assessments, group education sessions and exercise classes adjusting exercises according to patients’ health status on that day.

To be able to undertake oxygen therapy assessment and prescription (Long term oxygen therapy and ambulatory oxygen).

To act as a source of expertise on the management of respiratory patients providing support and advice to other health professionals/agencies both within and external to the Trust

To communicate with patients in a way that empowers them to make informed choices about the management of their condition and engages them in the planning and delivery of treatment. Taking into account cultural, linguistic, medical, emotional, psychological and physical factors and utilising available resources to facilitate effective communication.

To communicate complex patient related information effectively, to ensure collaborative working within the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

To liaise with all referring agencies to facilitate the provision of an effective and timely service.
