About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory and Sleep Service Lead to oversee the delivery, quality and development of our respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic services.

Day to day responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining high clinical and technical standards in investigations eg spirometry, gas transfer, lung volumes, FeNO and sleep studies
  • Managing day to day operations including coordinating rotas, supporting with training and ensuring service efficiency and patient safety
  • Contributing to audit, research and service improvement initiatives
  • Managing a small team, providing leadership and guidance
  • Ensuring compliance with national standards (eg ARTP, BTS)

You will also work closely with clinicians and senior management to expand and optimise our respiratory services. Please note at least 50% of the role is clinic based.

Our CDC is open Monday to Sunday 7:30am-7:30pm with weekend shifts paid at an uplifted pay rate. Our Physiology shifts usually run from Monday to Friday, however occasional weekend work may be required and this could be subject to change in the future.

About You

We are looking for an experienced leader with UK / NHS experience to join our team and lead by example. With excellent communication skills, a problem solving mindset and the ability to work well under pressure, you will be confident in a senior position within our CDC. To be considered you must have:

  • Substantial experience in respiratory diseases and sleep disorders, in a leadership capacity
  • Experience managing high performing teams
  • Previous experience performing Spirometry and other physiological tests
  • ARTP membership, be a STP graduate or hold a Clinical Physiology degree
