Job summary

NHS Jobs seeks an experienced Respiratory Advanced Clinical Nurse Specialist to deliver high-quality care for patients with respiratory conditions at St Georges Hospital. The role includes nurse-led outpatient clinics, inpatient reviews, and oxygen assessment, with support for NIV and severe asthma management in collaboration with the Severe Asthma MDT.

The post holder will contribute to service development, demonstrate expert clinical practice, and lead education and research initiatives,

Qualifications

• Expert clinical practice in respiratory nursing.
• Leadership in clinical practice and education.
• Research, audit and dissemination of best practice.

Responsibilities

• Provide out-patient nurse-led clinics for respiratory conditions including asthma and COPD.
• In-patient review of asthma/COPD in-patients.
• Assess for long-term and ambulatory oxygen; assess NIV needs.
• Support the asthma service and work with the Severe Asthma MDT for patients with severe asthma including biologic therapy.
• Contribute to the development of patient pathways (inpatient to outpatient).
