Job description
Overview

To assist the resourcing team in ensuring the smooth day‑to‑day running of operation and service, and to promote the image and reputation of the Trust.

The post-holder will be expected to exercise initiative in a high profile and busy environment. The post-holder will need to demonstrate the ability to liaise effectively and confidently with people at all levels and recognise the importance of confidentiality and sensitive issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer telephone enquiries and relay any queries and messages in accordance with instruction.
  • Receive and distribute post.
  • Scan documents.
  • Enter data into Trac, NHS Jobs and Microsoft packages.
  • Support the review of existing administrative processes and procedures, contribute ideas for development and implement changes as agreed.
  • Develop personal knowledge of relevant administrative and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Process all forms of mail (including faxes and emails), opening, distributing and undertaking necessary action.
  • Promote a customer‑led service and act as first point of contact for interdepartmental/departamental and external contacts.
  • Deal with telephone, in‑person and electronic queries and channel them to the relevant member of staff where appropriate.
