Repairs Scheduler / Resource Planner - Strong Customer Service Skills required (training provided)
  • Annual Salary: £20.74 per hour
  • Location: Stevenage (initial training), thereafter remote
  • Job Type: Temporary

We are seeking a Repairs Scheduler to join theteam at a busy national Housing Association. The role will contribute to the operational delivery of repairs and maintenance services. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient, effective, and customer-focused service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling multi-disciplined teams within a repairs and maintenance environment and be proficient in using resource scheduling software.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Allocate repair requests to appropriate slots, ensuring they are completed within priority deadlines.
  • Manage emergency jobs to ensure they are allocated and completed within agreed contractual timescales.
  • Optimize job completions by scheduling and tracking all required work.
  • Manage time effectively on the database for holidays, sickness, training, and van maintenance.
  • Schedule follow-on works for maintenance teams as necessary, adhering to agreed processes and procedures.
  • Ensure all PDAs/mobile communications are operational during core hours.
  • Maintain accurate diaries, ensuring all work is at the correct status and job time and allocation are correct.
  • Contact customers to remind them of upcoming appointments and verify completion of previous day’s jobs.
  • Monitor operatives' attendance at appointments and plan diaries.
  • Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely completion of jobs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Experience in scheduling multi-disciplined teams within a repairs and maintenance environment is desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • IT proficiency, particularly in Outlook and Excel.
  • Attention to detail, and exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in an outbound contact centre, ideally within a housing association or local authority setting (preferred but not essential).
