Job Overview

A great opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Planner to join a great manufacturing faculty in East Yorkshire. Reporting into the Head of Operations, this is a permanent position offering a competitive salary, excellent benefits and an early finish on a Friday.

Responsibilities
  • The coordination, planning, and management of labour, plant, and operational support activities
  • Source all site labour and management resources in line with PDOC budgets
  • Raise Purchase Orders (POs) for all site labour and management requirements
  • Oversee daily workload management of the Operations Support function
  • Plan and forecast site plant requirements, monitoring associated costs
  • Manage the weekly IOH process and produce ad hoc operational reports as required by the Head of Operations
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will ideally have relevant experience of working in a similar role, ideally from within the construction or manufacturing sector. Proven experience in an operational support, plant coordination or planning role would be beneficial. A strong understanding of project cost control, forecasting and procurement processes would also be an advantage. You should also have experience with planning software, preferably MS Projects and MS Excel.

Benefits

This role offers an attractive salary and excellent benefits. Working hours are Monday – Thursday 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm. The business is commutable from Hull, Driffield, York, Beverley, Scarborough and surrounding areas.
