Job description

Resilience Crisis Lead

Location: Glasgow Salary: £59-74K (plus up to 15% bonus, private healthcare & double-matched pension). Permanent, Hybrid (3 days in office per week)

Help us create a better future, quicker Join SP Energy Networks and play a key role in strengthening our ability to respond to cyber incidents, operational disruptions and emerging threats. As Cyber & Resilience Crisis Management Lead, you will help shape and deliver our crisis management, exercising and resilience programmes across IT, Operational Technology and critical business services.

What you'll be doing

This is an opportunity to influence how a major Critical National Infrastructure organisation prepares for and responds to disruptive events. Working with teams across cyber security, operational technology, risk, business continuity and senior leadership, you will drive resilience through planning, training, exercises and continuous improvement. You will support the development of SPEN's crisis management framework, ensuring plans, playbooks and response processes remain effective, tested and aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practice. The role will also involve coordinating crisis response activities, supporting major incidents, facilitating exercises and workshops, and helping the organisation learn and improve from real-world events and simulations.

What you’ll bring

We're looking for someone with experience in cyber security, operational resilience, crisis management, emergency planning or a related field. You will have a strong understanding of cyber threats, incident response and resilience principles, along with experience coordinating activities across multiple teams and stakeholders. Confidence in facilitating exercises, engaging senior leaders and producing clear reports and briefing materials is essential. Knowledge of the NIS Regulations, the NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) and operational resilience practices will be highly valued. Experience within energy, utilities or other Critical National Infrastructure environments would be beneficial, as would exposure to cyber incident response, crisis communications or working with regulators and industry bodies. This role requires a proactive and organised individual who can remain calm under pressure, build strong relationships and help embed a culture of resilience across the organisation. In return, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to the security and reliability of critical energy infrastructure while working with a diverse network of internal and external partners. If you're passionate about resilience, preparedness and helping organisations navigate complex challenges, we'd love to hear from you.
