A children's residential care provider in Hinckley is seeking full-time Children's Residential Workers. This role involves supporting young people between 13 and 17 with complex needs. Fulbridge Social Care are recruiting for full-time Children’s Residential Workers for a Private Children’s Residential Care Home in Hinckley.
You will be working within a specialist unit that supports young people aged between 13 and 17 with challenging behaviour and complex such as autism, eating disorders, sexualised behaviour, self-harm, aggressive personality and addiction, you must understand the complexities of challenging behaviour and have experience working or interacting with young people and complex needs.
Candidates must be confident, self-aware, interactive and knowledgeable of the reasons why young people are in care and understand the challenges faced on a regular basis when working within a children’s residential setting.
We are looking for ambitious individuals who have aspirations to succeed within this role and make a positive impact on a young person’s life both short-term and long-term.
A driving license is required for this position as you will be required to drive the on-site vehicle to take the service users to social activities and family contacts. An enhanced DBS must be obtained which is paid by the employer unless you are registered on the government’s online status checks.
Applicants will be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People (or equivalent) or have experience working with young people or challenging behaviour and complex needs.
Candidates must be an age of 21 minimum to work within this unit because of the age of the young people within our clients home due to the nature of the role and the sector so therefore these positions are exempt from the employment equality (age) regulation set out in 2006.
Successful candidates will be required to undertake a detailed induction programme and obtain an updated DBS (cost met by employer).
