Overview

We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Waking Night Support Worker to join our dedicated team at our residential home in Highcliffe. In this rewarding role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring our residents safety, comfort, and wellbeing throughout the night — offering reassurance and essential support whenever it's needed most.

We are seeking someone with a solid background in health and social care and experience supporting people with autism.

Please note: Autism Unlimited is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

The role

At Autism Unlimited, we help people live independent and fulfilling lives. Everyone we support communicates in their own way — some use PECS cards, others Sign-a-long, and some use familiar phrases. If you haven't used Sign-a-long before, not to worry we provide all required training!

Hours of work

20 hours per week
Friday and Saturday - 10pm - 8am

Responsibilities
  • Staying alert throughout the shift
  • Administering any necessary medication
  • Completing documentation at regular periods throughout shift
  • Following the support plan in place for each person we support, to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour
  • Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication
