Our purpose-built service offers excellent facilities, including on-site staff accommodation with en-suite facilities for night shifts, a gym, staff changing rooms and showers, parking, and electric vehicle charging points.

The Role

As a Therapeutic Worker, you will play a vital role within our therapeutic community. You will manage a caseload, undertake assessments, and develop, implement, and review care plans that support individuals throughout their recovery journey.

Working within the Therapeutic Community "Community as Method" model, you will empower individuals, families, and communities to build confidence in recovery and achieve positive, long-term outcomes. You will work collaboratively with residents to address a range of needs, including health, education, employment, social integration, and independent living skills.

You will coordinate support throughout an individual's time with the service, from referral and admission through to discharge and aftercare planning, ensuring a seamless and person-centred approach. You will also facilitate therapeutic groups, activities, and structured interventions in line with the Therapeutic Community model and the needs of the service.

We are looking for individuals who demonstrate the right values, compassion, resilience, and willingness to learn and develop within a therapeutic environment.

This is a full-time position, averaging 37.5 hours per week. You will work on a 6-week rolling rota, which includes evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.

  • Experience of working with individuals and families within the substance use sector or a related field.
  • The ability to build positive therapeutic relationships and work in a person-centred manner.
  • A flexible and innovative approach to meeting the needs of the service and the people we support.
  • The ability to work effectively with multi-agency partners while maintaining the excellent reputation of the service.
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult and child safeguarding, with the ability to work safely and confidently with vulnerable individuals and families.
  • Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
  • A commitment to recovery-focused practice and continuous professional development.
