NovaStars Group in West Bromwich is seeking a Residential Team Leader to lead shifts and ensure safe, high-quality care for residents with mental health needs, learning disabilities and autism. You will support residents to develop independence, life skills and emotional wellbeing while maintaining strong records and adhering to CQC standards.

You will work proactively to reduce risks, promote positive behaviour, and ensure personalised outcomes.

Formación

• Aged 18 years or over.
• QCF Level 4 in Health and Social Care is required.
• Six months' experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism or complex needs is preferred.
• Driving licence is preferred.
• Strong safeguarding, PBS and professional boundaries knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, calm under pressure.
• Willingness to work weekends, nights and bank holidays.

Responsabilidades

• Lead shifts, direct colleagues to provide safe, high-quality care.
• Deliver day-to-day support per care plans and risk assessments.
• Promote independence, choice, and inclusion in daily living.
• Assist with personal care while maintaining dignity.
• Encourage access to education, employment, training, leisure and community activities.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and follow restrictive practice guidance when needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely care records using Nourish (daily notes, incidents, health updates).
• Support safeguarding and reporting along with health and safety checks.
