Job summary

Compass Community is recruiting a Residential Support Worker to help transform young lives in our children’s home. You’ll support daily activities, safeguarding, health and wellbeing, and contribute to reports and timetables.

No prior experience required; full training is provided, including Skills to Care induction and Level 3 Diploma progression. The role requires calm, compassion, and the ability to build trusted relationships, with Ofsted-age requirements and a valid manual driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience not required; full induction and training provided.
• Skills to Care induction includes multiple weeks of training and shadow shifts.
• Progression to Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate children’s activities and appointments, support health and wellbeing, and safeguard at all times.
• Meet diverse children and young people, including those needing higher supervision.
• Assist the wider team with domestic tasks such as cleaning, cooking and shopping.
• Create timetables, manage paperwork and write reports.
