Overview

We are looking for a passionate Residential Support Worker who personally wants to make a difference in the lives of young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Role Overview

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a residential setting. You will work as part of a dedicated team to promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of each child, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and understood. You will help create a structured, stable environment while supporting the children in their day-to-day activities, personal development, and educational goals.

What You\'ll Be Doing
  • Building Strong Bonds: Get to know the children you support and build relationships based on trust, care, and respect.
  • Making Learning Fun: Help with homework, school projects, and even creative activities like arts & crafts or building the best Lego towers!
  • Supporting Growth: Guide and encourage young people to achieve their goals, whether it\'s improving their social skills, taking up a new hobby, or achieving something at school.
  • Ensuring Safety & Well-Being: Make sure the children feel safe, valued, and protected at all times, following our safeguarding procedures.
  • Team Spirit: Work alongside an amazing team of professionals to create the best environment for our young people.
What You Will Need
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare
  • Experience working with Young People with Autism, Learning Difficulties and Complex Needs
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau.
