Residential Support Workers - Experienced & Entry-Level Opportunities

📍 Location: Hoddesdon (EN11)

💰 Salary: £12.50 - £13.50 per hour (depending on experience)

🕒 Hours: Full-Time - 40 hours per week + sleep-ins

📄 Contract Type: Permanent

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? 🌟 Minerva Recruitment are recruiting Residential Support Workers (both experienced and entry-level) on behalf of our client's Ofsted-registered children's home in Hoddesdon (EN11). Key Responsibilities
  • Support children and young people in their daily routines, activities, and emotional wellbeing
  • Assist with personal care where required (bathing, dressing, feeding)
  • Help to implement individual care plans and work closely with key workers
  • Promote and encourage positive behaviour, independence, and life skills
  • Observe, record, and report any changes in behaviour, health, or emotional state
  • Ensure the home remains safe, clean, and nurturing
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals
  • Participate in shift patterns, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins on a rota basis
Candidate Requirements
  • Experienced candidates: Previous experience in a residential children's home or similar setting
  • Entry-level candidates: A genuine passion for helping young people and willingness to learn
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards this qualification)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young people
  • A full UK driving licence is essential
