Job summary

Aspris is recruiting for a Residential Support Worker in Sheldon, Birmingham. The role focuses on supporting three boys with emotional, developmental and behavioural needs, delivering 1:1 support, and providing structure in a caring, non-judgmental environment.

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential. You will be part of a diverse staff team, participate in outings and activities, and contribute to the boys' independence while engaging in CPD and development opportunities

Job description

Our children's home in Sheldon, Birmingham, supports three young males who have emotional, developmental and/or behavioural difficulties. The staff team is culturally diverse and offers 1:1 support; providing structure and stability in an understanding, supportive and non-judgmental manner. Our young people are highly active and love spending time outdoors doing various activities, so the successful candidate will need to have the energy and initiative to get involved.

Due to the location of this role, applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle.

As a Residential Support Worker, you will be at the centre of the fun! Taking young people to see their friends, trips to the cinema, partaking in community events such as fundraisers and galas, teaching the young people to cook, encouraging them to be independent and many other brand new opportunities that they may never have had the chance to do previously. This role allows you to really make a difference to the lives of those under our care and to build strong relationships with the young people and staff alike.
