Trethowans is seeking a commercially focused Residential Property Solicitor (or equivalent) with 4+ years' PQE to join our Poole team. You will handle a varied caseload and actively contribute to client development, referrer engagement, and team growth.

The Residential Property team is well-established across the region, known for strong referrer relationships and repeat client work. The role offers a clear progression path within a supportive, commercially driven environment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' PQE in residential conveyancing.
• Strong technical experience across residential conveyancing.
• Ability to manage files independently from instruction to completion.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with profitability, file management and service delivery.
• Proven ability, or plan, to build and maintain a network of introducers.
• Balance quality, volume and client expectations in a busy environment.
• Ambitious and motivated to contribute to team growth.

Responsibilities

• Handle a varied caseload of residential property matters.
• Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
• Transfers of equity.
• Remortgages.
• New build matters.
• Shared ownership and Help to Buy transactions.
• Take ownership of matters from instruction through to completion in line with firm processes.
• Deliver an efficient, consistent service in line with the Law Society Conveyancing Protocol and CQS requirements.
• Contribute to the team’s financial performance through effective file management, billing discipline, and matter progression.
• Play an active role in maintaining and growing referrer relationships.
