Overview

My client is currently seeking a Residential Property Solicitor / Conveyancer to join their law firm in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for a conveyancing professional who enjoys managing a busy residential caseload and delivering excellent client service in a supportive, growth-minded environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a high-volume of residential property matters, running your own files from instruction to completion. You will liaise directly with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties, ensuring transactions progress smoothly and deadlines are met. You will also use the firm\'s conveyancing platforms and case management systems to maintain a high standard of documentation, compliance and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Handling residential sales, purchases, re-mortgages and possibly transfers of equity.
  • Managing full conveyancing files from opening to completion, including client care, title checks, searches, liaising with mortgage lenders, and working with Land Registry.
  • Drafting and reviewing conveyancing documents, contracts, transfer deeds and supporting correspondence.
  • Communicating clearly and regularly with clients and third parties to keep matters on track.
  • Resolving issues that arise during the transaction, escalating where necessary, and ensuring excellent client experience.
  • Using the firm\'s case management system and digital workflows to ensure accurate file management and compliance.
  • Contributing toward business development or client retention initiatives as required by the department.
About You
  • A qualified solicitor or licensed conveyancer with 2+ years PQE (or equivalent experience) in residential conveyancing.
  • Proven ability to manage your own caseload with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong organisational skills.
  • Technically competent in residential conveyancing matters and familiar with relevant documentation and processes.
  • Comfortable liaising with clients, mortgage brokers, lenders and other stakeholders; able to explain complex issues simply.
  • Proficient in using conveyancing case management systems, Land Registry portal, MS Office, and other digital tools.
  • Meticulous, deadline-driven and able to work under pressure in a busy environment while maintaining high standards of client service.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive, solution-focused mindset.
