A regional law firm in Norwich is seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor with at least five years' experience in residential property transactions. In this role, you will handle high-value transactions, build relationships with local agents, and provide technical support to junior colleagues. The firm offers a collaborative culture, flexible working environment, and benefits like private healthcare and gym partnerships.
A well-established regional firm is looking to appoint an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to its Norwich team. This is a key hire for a department known for technical accuracy, clear communication and a personable, grounded approach to residential conveyancing, qualities that have earned it long‑standing loyalty from clients, agents and referrers across the region.
The Norwich group is a close, collaborative team supported by dedicated assistants and centralised file‑opening and completions teams. You'll be stepping into a busy and stable workflow, with a strong mix of routine and high‑value transactions and the opportunity to take on more complex matters as part of a wider, multi‑office real‑estate practice.
Purchases, sales and refinancing — Handling freehold and leasehold transactions from instruction through to completion, including high‑value and technically involved properties requiring careful structuring, clear communication and strong judgement.
High‑value and complex matters — Acting for high‑net‑worth individuals and investors on premium properties, unusual titles, multi‑party chains, listed homes and matters requiring proactive problem‑solving and close agent engagement.
Market‑facing relationships — Building strong, day‑to‑day relationships with local estate agents, search providers, surveyors and property finders. The team is highly regarded locally, so relationship‑building tends to feel natural rather than forced.
Supporting the wider practice — Picking up mainstream conveyancing where needed to support the group's overall workflow, ensuring consistent service levels across the wider team.
Supervision and technical support — Providing guidance, oversight and quality assurance for junior team members when required, helping them develop and ensuring the team continues to operate at a high standard. You'll work closely with an experienced Team Leader who is highly involved in the strategy and ongoing development of the Norwich offering, giving you regular access to support, insight and shared thinking on more complex matters.
You'll be a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer with a minimum of five years' experience in residential property and a track record of handling high‑value or technically involved transactions.
You'll be comfortable balancing independence with collaboration, managing your own files confidently while appreciating the benefit of working closely with a team that shares knowledge and supports each other daily.
Strong communication, attention to detail and a steady, client‑centred approach are essential. Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues is helpful but not essential.
This is a team built around personal service rather than volume. You'll have time to work cases properly, speak to clients directly and build relationships with agents who value speed, clarity and pragmatism.
The Norwich team benefits from the stability and breadth of a large real estate practice, access to strong admin support, specialist teams in planning, litigation and private client work, and experienced colleagues who handle niche issues such as leasehold reform, plot sales and title complications.
You will inherit a healthy, manageable caseload with room to grow, supported by:
