Overview

Our client, a multi disciplined firm with offices across 6 areas of Manchester have a vacancy for a Residential Property Solicitor. They are committed to delivering a high standard of service in residential property / conveyancing. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about client care and developing expertise in residential property transactions.

Location : Oldham or West Manchester area.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a varied caseload of residential property matters, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, remortgages, new builds, and transfers of equity.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, transfer deeds, mortgage documentation, and all other property-related legal documents.
  • Provide expert legal advice to clients throughout the conveyancing process, from initial instruction to post-completion, maintaining clear, timely, and empathetic communication.
  • Conduct title checks, property searches, and due diligence to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risk for clients.
  • Liaise confidently and professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage providers, solicitors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure all transactions adhere to relevant SRA, AML, CQS, and GDPR regulations and firm procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with conveyancers, assistants, and other fee earners to deliver an efficient and high-quality property service.
  • Maintain accurate records, case files, and documentation in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and participate actively in team meetings and ongoing training.
Essential Skills and Experience
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with a valid practising certificate.
  • Demonstrable experience managing a caseload of residential property files from inception to completion.
  • Sound knowledge of conveyancing law, property transactions, Land Registry applications, and lender requirements.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an empathetic and professional approach to client relations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Skilled in the use of case management systems and standard office software; IT literacy is essential.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a supportive team environment.
