Job description

Job Title: Residential Childcare Practitioner

Location: Sunderland

Provision: Children’s Home

Service Users: Children aged 7 to 17 with Social, Emotional, and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD)

Working Hours & Pay:
  • Contract Options: 156 or 206 hours per month
  • Hourly Rate: £12.50
  • Sleep-In Requirement: Occasional, based on the needs of the home
  • Sleep-In Rate: £52 per night
What We’re Looking For:

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare, or
  • Level 3 Diplomas in Health & Social Care or Children’s Care

Desirable Experience:

  • Previous experience in similar settings, particularly with children facing challenging behaviours or complex needs. (Experience as a care assistant for the elderly is not applicable.)

Essential Requirements:

  • Full UK driving license
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Minimum age requirement: 22 years old
