Qualifications

  • Must have evidence of the right to work in the UK.
  • Experience in relevant maintenance tasks is essential.
  • Willingness to work outside normal working hours if required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Legionella required tasks including weekly flushing.
  • Conduct temperature testing and shower disinfections.
  • Handle small pipework repairs and reactive repair requests.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours callout rota.

Residential Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a Residential Maintenance Assistant working on behalf of our Alderley Park contract in Macclesfield. This role is permanent, full‑time (37.5 hours per week). On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Legionella required tasks: weekly flushing, monthly temperature testing, shower disinfections, hot water system checks, CWST inspections and testing, tank turnover recording.
  • Testing and maintenance of TMVs.
  • Proactive improvements to customer water systems.
  • Small pipework repairs.
  • Reactive repair requests.
  • Plantroom cleaning and inspections.
  • Joining an out‑of‑hours callout rota.
  • Contractor escorting duties.
Qualifications or Required Experience
  • City & Guilds / BTec / ACOP L8, LCA.
  • NVQ plumbing qualifications.
  • Experience in Legionella awareness and tasks.
  • Experience working with computers/tablets/phones and CAFM systems.
  • Experience working with heating, ventilation and air conditioning plant.
  • Unvented hot water systems qualification.

The role will involve hands‑on work delivering the services listed above with some customer contact. The successful applicant will build relationships with customers, looking after site needs and making improvements where applicable.

The Engineer will report to the Manager and the Account Manager. The right candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday at Alderley Park and may be required to work on other sites, including shift work with late and early hours as required.
